The first FIFA international break since the summer's World Cup brought a pair of South American powers to Sports Illustrated Stadium for a Friday night friendly. Colombia and Paraguay each competed in that World Cup, and each nation reached that tournament's Round of 16 before falling to a European opponent. Now a few months later, they met in Harrison, New Jersey, in the early stages of the build-up towards the 2030 World Cup, with Paraguay coming away with a 1-0 victory thanks to a 56th minute goal from Hugo Benítez. Photographer Irish Maliborski was there on behalf of New York Soccer Journal and captured the below photos of the action.
