A summer soccer tradition returned to the Tri-State Area this week, with multiple preseason friendlies featuring some of Europe's top club teams played in and around New York City. On Thursday night, two English Premier League sides met at Sports Illustrated Stadium, with Leeds United FC coming out 1-o winners over Sunderland AFC thanks to an early Lukas Nmecha goal. Photographer Irish Maliborski shot the match in Harrison, New Jersey, which featured returning World Cup heroes like new Leeds signing Tarik Muharemovic (Bosnia and Herzegovia), plus Sunderland's Brian Brobbey (Netherlands) and Nilson Angulo (Ecuador).
