Jawneh, a native of Gambia, had two goals and five assists across 30 appearances in all competitions for Texoma FC during the 2025 season. He's also spent time with Atlanta United 2 in the USL Championship in 2020, Phoenix Rising FC in 2022, and with the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA)'s Georgia Lions in 2024.
The Cosmos are currently third in USL League One with 1.71 goals scored per-90 minutes, but they did just lose some of their attacking depth when Julien Lacher left the club, so Jawneh could prove to be useful as an experienced reinforcement.
